Sarah Lineberger's Pecan Pie

1 (one pound) box brown sugar 8 tablespoons milk
4 eggs, beaten 1 stick margarine, melted
1 tablespoon vanilla 1 cup chopped Texas Pecans

Chop pecans (crosswise) and place in bottom of prepared pie crust.  Mix rest of ingredients in order given, and pour over pecans.  Bake at 400 F for ten minutes, lower heat to 325 F and bake until done (approximately 35 more minutes).  Pie is done when surface appears golden brown and slightly crusty.

Makes two pies.
